We opened class today by taking a prequiz and going over the correct answers. Following the Prequiz we watched Bill Nye Fossils to introduce us to our next unit. For the remainder of the class period students worked on their visual vocabulary that is due tomorrow. (please see the powerpoint from yesterdays date for the words).

Classes were shortened due to MAP Testing. In class students took their post quiz (formal grade) and then completed a warm-up to review concepts that we learned on Friday
FRI 9/15
students took notes on the three types of plate boundaries. They are convergent, transform, and divergent boundaries. Students did a lab called snack tectonics to demonstrate what is happening at each boundary. After every demo we took notes and drew a picture of what was happening. If students were absent they need to make this lab up in working lunch on Monday.
